Scholarships

Scholarships recognize and reward academic excellence and are not usually based on financial need. CINTS majors are eligible for the following scholarships:

Paul J. Strand Endowed Scholarship

  • The value of each scholarship award will be determined by the scholarship committee
  • The number of scholarships awarded will be determined by the scholarship committee
  • Open to Comparative International Studies Majors 
  • Minimum 3.00 overall cumulative GPA Undergraduate
  • Full-time enrollment required
  • Essay Required

Application period August to October


College of Arts & Letters Scholarship

  • The value of each scholarship award will be determined by the scholarship committee
  • The number of scholarships awarded will be determined by the scholarship committee
  • No minimum overall cumulative GPA required
  • Undergraduate students are NOT required to be enrolled full-time
  • Awards are available to first-time freshmen
  • Essay Required

Application period August to October


Ruth G. Keen Memorial Scholarship

  • The value of each scholarship award will be determined by the scholarship committee
  • The number of scholarships awarded will be determined by the scholarship committee
  • Minimum 3.50 overall cumulative GPA
  • Undergraduate students are NOT required to be enrolled full-time
  • Essay Required

Application period August to October


SDSU College of Arts and Letters Alumni Chapter Scholarship

  • Each scholarship award will have a value of $2,500
  • Two scholarships may be awarded
  • Open to all majors in the College of Arts and Letters
  • Minimum 3.00 overall cumulative GPA Undergraduate
  • Full-time enrollment required
  • Essay Required
  • Finalists may be interviewed
