Major in Comparative International Studies

The Comparative International Studies (CINTS) major is an interdisciplinary program that prepares students to become citizens of the global world.

The program offers a broad view and understanding of international and global forces across a wide range of human activities and the disciplines of the humanities and social sciences. It provides students with the opportunity to engage in a comparative study of two regions, learn a foreign language, experience international contexts through study abroad, and conduct research.

What Our Students Say

CINTS is an exceptional program for students who are curious and interested in an interdisciplinary approach to understanding history, culture, and global dynamics. The flexibility of the program allowed me to explore different interests and ultimately find a path that truly resonated with me, while the small class sizes fostered strong, lasting connections with professors and peers.
